Prerequisites

  • Use a supported Node.js version: at least 22.14. Source development uses Node 24.
  • For browser examples, use an ESM application with a bundler that accepts CSS imports.
  • Install React 18 or newer only if you choose the React adapter.
Keep your bundler’s asset type declarations enabled in TypeScript projects. For example, a Vite application uses:
vite-env.d.ts
npmjs.com is the primary registry. If your existing @groundsgg scope uses GitHub Packages, check the registry configuration.
Save this as motd.mjs and run node motd.mjs. You do not need React or a DOM.
motd.mjs
The core resolves the supplied counts and placeholders. It does not discover a server or fetch live player data.
Use presentation: "server-list" for the complete menu excerpt and toolbar: "fixed" for formatting controls above the entry. Continue with embedding and documents and context.
